CEP Appointments - CEP/GHANA - REVEREND FATHER MATTHEW EDUSEI, APPOINTED RECTOR OF ST PETER'S SEMINARY IN CAPE COAST

Rome (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples has appointed ( 7 February 2003) Rector of St Peter's inter-diocesan major seminary in Cape Coast archdiocese, Ghana, Reverend Matthew Edusei of the Konongo-Mampongo diocesan clergy. Reverend Edusei was born on 15 August 1955. He was educated in Ghana and then studied for the priesthood in the UK and the USA. He was ordained a priest on 23 July 1988. He has since engaged in pastoral work in Kirkby, archdiocese of Liverpool; work in London; parish work in Aberdeen City Scotland; chaplain at St Mary's Hospital Livonia Michigan. In 1985 he returned to Ghana and was a secondary school tutor; chaplain/tutor; executive secretary of department of clergy and religious, and department of ecumenical relations and inter-religious dialogue.(Fides Service 14/2/2003 EM lines 11; Words 147)
