Rabat (Fides Service) - An ad limina visit is first of all a
"pilgrimage to the sources of the Church," but also
"a time for official meetings with representatives of the
Curia offices" to discuss the situation of the Church in
Morocco. In his editorial in the diocese monthly Ensemble, Archbishop
Vincent Landel speaks of his sentiments as he prepares for his
first ad limina (17-23 February) when he will be in Rome to the
pray at the tombs of Saint Peter and Saint Paul and to have a
private meeting with the Pope: "I want to let the Holy Father
know that our Church is full of life and that we are not discouraged
by difficulties. We know we are a pilgrim Church and we let ourselves
be converted, turn our hearts to the Lord, through the events
of daily life. We are a Church with many languages and many cultures
and we build unity around Jesus Christ
I wish to bear witness
to the Pope that this communion continues to grow". See
