Aachen (Fides Service) - With an open letter on the web site www.missio-aachen.de of the national office of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Germany, Fr Hermann Schaluck National Director of missio Aachen has encouraged PMS members and benefactors to take part in the national Peace Demonstration organised for tomorrow 15 February in Berlin. In his letter the National Director encourages Catholics, particularly committed to living the Word of God during this "Year of the Bible" (2003 for all Christians in German speaking countries), to be peace-makers. He says that taking part in the national demonstration against war on Iraq, "is one of various ways to give visibility to our faith and to be peace-makers". In mid January missio Aachen invited German missionary congregations and other Christian institutions to take part in a chain of prayer for peace.
