Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, has appointed (6 December 2002) Rector of the Major Seminary in Yaounde in Cameroon, Rev. Fr Antoine Essomba Fouda.
Rev. Fr Antoine Essomba Fouda was born 27 April 1957. He has a doctorate in Liturgical Theology from the Pontifical College of S. Anselmo in Rome. He was ordained a priest on 11 August 1985 and has since been professor at St Paul's minor seminary in Mbalmayo; assistant priest at Christ the King parish in Obout; rector of St Paul's minor seminary in Mbalmayo; professor at the Catholic University and the major seminary of Nkolbisson.
