Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, has appointed (3 December 2001) National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Luxembourg Rev. George Hellinghausen.
Rev. George Hellinghausen was born in on 12 August 1956 and ordained a priest 4 July, 1981. He obtained a doctorate in Church History at the Gregorian University in Rome. Since 1993 he has been Rector of the major seminary and Episcopal vicar for the following areas: Formation of the Clergy and lay pastoral workers; relations with international church organisations in Europe, CCEE and COMECE; religious programmes Radio and Television Luxembourg.
