Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, has appointed (9 December 2001) National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Korea Rev. Thomas Tcha Won-Sog.
Rev. Tcha Won-Sog was born in Pyongyang, North Korea 24 July 1950 and was ordained a priest 8 December 1976 for the archdiocese of Seoul. Since then he has been assistant priest at Myong-Dong Cathedral, Seoul; student at Pontifical Urban College in Rome for a Licentiate in Philosophy; studies in Germany; parish priest of Munsan mission, Seoul; professor at Catholic University of Korea, Seoul; parish priest Gajoa-Dong parish Seoul; Vice-President Catholic University of Korea; parish priest of Hwagok Bon-Dong in Seoul.
