Vatican City (Fides Service) - On November 30 the Urbaniana Friends International Association was officially inaugurated by Rector Mons Ambrogio Spreafico. Fides Service spoke to Fr Marconcini, secretary general of Urban College about the new Association, who said that the Association for former students of Urban university is not actually new, it was started four years ago with a list of names and addresses of former students, now missionaries and or cardinals and bishops all over the world. The aim of the Association is to foster contact and dialogue with the Alma Mater, as well as among the old students themselves and also to encourage funding on the part of former students rich enough to make donations. The Association also has a magazine which is very popular among the "old boys". (Fides Service 30/11/2002)
