Vatican City (Fides) - The Pontifical colleges St Peter and St
Paul have published the list of their students priests for the
academic year 2002-2003. The total number is 338 (186 at St Paul's
college San Paolo and 152 at St Peter's college). Fifty countries
are represented at St Paul's and 49 at St Peter's; the number
of dioceses, vicariates, or prefectures represented is: 153 (St.
Paul's) and 125 (St. Peter's). Africa is the continent with the
most students present (101 priests at St Paul's and 82 at St Peter's),
followed by Asia (77 and 62), America (6 and 5), Oceania (2 and
2) Europe (1 at St Peter's). The country with the highest number
of student priests is India (26 at St .Paul and 12 at St Peter's).
Most student study at Urban University, 90 from St Paul's and
84 from St Peter's, and the most popular subject is canon law:
