Rome (Fides Service) - The 18th edition of Cinema without Frontiers
opened on November 4 at the Pontifical Salesian University with
the theme "Children of Babel, many cultures and many ethnic
origins". Fides Service spoke with Prof. Pasqualetti who
teaches Communications at the University. Prof. Pasqualetti told
us that care was taken in selecting the films to give priority
to those which highlight the inner life of people, daily problems,
and different realities as well as the religious aspect of life.
The review will close in December 2 with a Round Table chaired
by Prof. Pasqualetti. Speakers will include Fr Innocenzo Gargano,
a Camaldolese monk; Sebastiano Maffettone, Professor of political
philosophy ; Prof. Pietro Scoppola, former dean of Contemporary
History; Prof. Cyril De Souza, Director of the Catechetical Institute
of the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome; Prof. Ernesto Laura,
director of "Filmcronache" and film critic. AP (Fides
