Vatican City (Fides) - "The Second Vatican Council announced loudly and clearly to the contemporary world the Lordship of Christ, and this message was reiterated during the Great Jubilee of the Year 2000. Also humanity of the third millennium needs to rediscover that Christ is our Saviour. This is the message that Christians must boldly carry to the world of today". Pope John Paul II said this on Sunday, 24 November, feast of Christ the King, before praying the Angelus from his window in the Vatican with the people gathered in St Peter's Square.
