Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, has (14 November 2002) has appointed Rector of St Albert's inter-diocesan in Ranchi (India) Rev. Father Camil Ratnakar Prabhu.
The new rector was born on 11 September 2002 and he was ordained a priest on February 2, 1966. Father Camil came from Mangalore as a missionary for the diocese of Jamshedpur of which he has been Administrator and vicar general (1997-2000). He has been parish priest for many years and director of Catholic Charities, in frequent contact with NGOs. He is also president of the Bihar Jharkhand Diocesan Priest Forum.
