Pult-Bajze (Fides Service) - "The Lord Jesus says still today: As the Father sent me so I am sending you' Therefore go out and give to all you meet the gift of the Good News which is the heritage of all peoples". This call was made by Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples, on Monday 11 November to the Catholics in Pult-Bajze. " Many , after the fall of communism think only of material wellbeing and they are often disappointed - the Cardinal said. and in this context the Church is constantly committed to solidarity with the poor, because God is especially present in the poor. The Cardinal continued: "While the Church preaches the dignity of the human person and works to improve living conditions, she also says that these objectives must be preached together with those Gospel values entrusted by the Lord Jesus to his disciples". Cardinal Sepe then called attention to the family and social relations, two realities demanding special care. The family must be given sound and regular catechesis, beginning with the significance of Christian marriage, to make prayer the centre of family life. Social relations must be inspired by the Gospel and founded on love, justice and forgiveness. "Forgiveness is humanly speaking difficult - Cardinal Sepe said - but it is necessary if we want to remain faithful to the teaching of our Divine Founder".
