Africa/Angola - Card. Sepe makes pastoral visit to Angola to sustain peace process

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples is in Angola for a five day pastoral visit 25-29 October, at the invitation of the Angolan Bishops. The Prefect will meet Bishops, clergy, Religious men and women, seminarians and formation staff, as well as the local Catholic community and the authorities. On Sunday 27 October at Luanda Cathedral together with all the Bishops of Angola, he will preside a solemn Mass of thanksgiving for restored peace in the country. The Cardinal will also visit some of the many thousands of internally displaced persons, civil war victims, still confined to camps. (SL) (Fides Service 25/10/2002)
