Rome (Fides Service) - On October 18 the Congregation for the Clergy issued a new pastoral instruction entitled "The Priest, shepherd and guide of the Parish Community". Presenting the new Instruction at the Holy See Cardinal Dario Castrillon, president of the Congregation for the Clergy, said that "the principal aim of this Instruction is to highlight to the community and to the clergy, the role of shepherd, sacramental leader who from the parish leads the people to Christ, the Way to the Father.
