EUROPE/ITALY - Violence and injustice in the testimonies of the Roman missionaries

Rome (Agenzia Fides) - Violence and injustice are evils still rooted in the hearts of men. The stories of three mission experiences lived by priests and lay people in Rome are the focus of the meeting to be held on Monday, February 3 at 8.30 pm at St. Mary dell'Orto church (via Anicia 1, Trastevere area) from the Center of the Diocese of Rome for missionary cooperation among the Churches. To testify what they have seen and lived in different parts of the world will be: Emanuela Bonavolta volunteer in Mozambique and founder of the "O viveiro" Center for the formation of girls and young women in Tete province; Don Diego Conforzi, assistant pastor of Saints Simon and Jude Thaddeus, who will talk about missionary experiences in Ethiopia with the youth of the parish; Father Alessandro De Rossi, pastor of San Luigi Gonzaga, already fidei donum priest in Salta, Argentina. There will also be moments of prayer and Bible readings. Passages from the message for World Peace Day 2014 will also be read. The meeting will be presided over by Msg.
