AMERICA/CANADA TORONTO -Appointment of the National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on 20 December 2012 appointed Fr. Alex Osei, of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit (CSSp) as National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Toronto Canada for five years.
The new National Director was born on March 15, 1960 in Kumasi, Ghana. He made his first religious profession in Gambia on September 8, 1986 and perpetual vows on August 27, 1993. He was ordained a priest in Kumasi on July 23, 1994. He has held numerous positions, in Africa and in Canada (chaplain, pastor, member of several ecclesial bodies...) also dealing with the implementation of financial projects and refugees.
