Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, on May 4, 2012 appointed Rev. Fr. Benjamin Shahzad, of the clergy of the archdiocese as Rector of the "Christ the King" Seminary in the Archdiocese of Karachi (Pakistan).
The new Rector was born on April 30, 1967 and was ordained a priest on 29 November 1991. He studied philosophy and theology at the "Christ the King" Seminary and obtained a degree in Missiology in Rome. He was the Curate and the Rector of the minor Seminary "St. Pius X" in Karachi.
