AMERICA/HAITI - More tragedy for the people of Haiti: New floods cause death and devastation

Cap Haitien (Agenzia Fides) - Tragedy continues to fall on the most disadvantaged populations. After Hurricane Sandy, new flooding return to devastate Haiti, with 16 deaths recorded since last Friday, November 9 in Cap Haitien, the second main town of the island, in the north of the country. The Haitian government has confirmed that there are several people missing and that about 500 families have been displaced in temporary shelters. Considerable material damage has been reported.
