Hong Kong (Fides Service) - In his address for the opening of a new Catholic Care Home for people with mental disabilities in Hong Kong on May 10, Auxiliary Bishop John Tong Hon of Kong Kong underlined the hidden value of suffering and urged those present to sustain the sick and the people who care for them with prayer: our brothers and sisters suffering from mental disabilities are signs of love. They are not only persons who deserve compassion and care, they are bearers of special values in the life of the community. Moreover they, their families and those taking care of the patients need the strength of the Spirit of the Lord and they also need the support of the whole community”.
