Liao Ning (Agenzia Fides) - Ten years ago the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of the Mount at Tie Ling, in the diocese of Liao Ning, was opened to the public. Today over 3,000 people gathered for a special 10th anniversary Mass presided by Bishop Jin. Concelebrants included Coadjutor Bishop Pei Jun Min, and about forty local priests. According to the Guide to the Catholic Church in China 2004, the diocese of Liao Ning has 100,000 Catholics gathered in 47 parishes, assisted by 46 priests (27 young ones), about 110 Sisters of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and there are 54 major seminarians and over 70 places for religious activities.
