Hang Zhou (Agenzia Fides) - A recent spiritual retreat for priests in Hang Zhou diocese, Zhe Jiang Porvince was articulated in various moments marked by specific themes. “Strengthening our vocation” was the theme of introduction, while “The Holy Spirit” was the principal theme of the retreat; at the centre of the meeting the goal to “imitate the saints” and finally “Manifest new evangelising vitality” was the commitment taken by all. Guided by Rev Wu Jian Lin, of the diocese of Shang Hai, 13 priests lived a new page in diocesan spirituality offering thanksgiving and praise to the Lord, the Guide to the Catholic Church in China 2004, Hang Zhou diocese, originally a Lazarist mission, was made a diocese 1948 and today has 207,000 Catholics gathered in 10 parishes, assisted by 12 priests, 30 sisters of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, there are 20 major seminarians (6 study at Shang Hai diocesan seminary).
