Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Sunday 28 February 1858: Despite fine persistent rain and gelid cold, one or two thousands people gathered early in the morning at the Grotto. Bernadette arrived at 7 o'clock. As she kneels praying her rosary occasionally kissing the ground a powerful wind is felt by those present. All kneel ad begin to pray and those physically able to do so kiss the ground at the same time as Bernadette. The Lady tells Bernadette things revealed to no one which were to prepare her and strengthen her for tribulations to come. That same day after solemn Mass, Bernadette was to be questioned by Judge Rives who threatens her even with prison. (J.M.) (Agenzia Fides, 14/5/ 2007)
