Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - Saturday 27 February 1858: silence, 10ª apparition. “ At half past six in the morning, a crowd of at least 800-900 people await the arrival of Bernadette at the Grotto. For fifteen minutes Bernadette moves on her knees kissing the ground as she goes. «The Lady said to me - go and kiss the ground to do penance for sinners». Our Lady is said to have added: «if it is not too repugnant or arduous for you». Twice Bernadette signals the crowd to do the same, the second time they obey her. From then on people will come from all over the world to kiss the holy ground of Massabielle.
