AFRICA/TOGO – REV. DANKA LOGA APPOINTED RECTOR OF JOHN PAUL II SEMINARY IN LOME

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples has appointed (October 3, 2003) Rector of John Paul II Seminary in Lome, Togo, Reverend Father Danka Longa of the clergy of Sokode diocese.
Rev. Danka Longa was born in Sokode on 26 July 1961 and ordained a priest on 25 January 1992. After studying physics and chemistry at Benin University he studied philosophy and theology at Saint Gall de Ouidah major seminary in Benin. In 2001 he obtained a doctorate in Canon Law at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome. He has been parish assistant, professor and spiritual director at Notse propaedeutic seminary, student in Rome 1997-2001.
