Vatican City (Fides Service) - ‘Sacramentum caritatis’ the post synodal apostolic Exhortation by Pope Benedict XVI made public last week is proving highly popular. In a few days the Vatican Publishers and Book Shop sold 220,000 copies of the document which underlines once again the greatness and importance of the Eucharistic Celebration as the source and summit of the Life and Mission of the Church. In the document the Holy Father encourages the faithful to ponder ever more deeply the relationship between the Eucharistic Mystery, liturgical action and the new ‘worship in spirit’ deriving from the Eucharist “Sacrament of Charity”.
