ASIA/HONGKONG - Salesian Father Peter Newbery receives state award for his work in the field of education

Hong Kong (Agenzia Fides) -Kong Ko Bao bulletin of the Catholic diocese of Hong Kong reports that Salesian Father Peter Newbery has been proclaimed the best teacher of the year and offered a Honorary Doctorate by the Hong Kong Institute of Education for his outstanding work in the field of education particularly for young people in difficulty. Father Newbery, who formed an Association for Education, and has been active in the field of education since 1991, told Kong Ko Bao after the award ceremony: “I do very little, I consider the award for all the Association members... . education is done not only in the class room there are many forms of education for young people.
