OCEANIA/ SOLOMON ISLANDS - “We thank God for Creation and for Health”: latest issue of “Voice Katolika” focuses on harmonious relationship with man, nature and God

Honiara (Agenzia Fides) - Being aware of the gifts we receive every day from God, health which allows man to live and go about his daily activity, creation, nature, the sun, the sea, the land. This and more is presented in the latest issue of Voice Katolika, published by the Social Communications Office of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Solomon Islands.
The issue, which proposes the faithful to reflect in order to grow in awareness of God’s gifts starting with the gift of life, presents reflections, interventions, interviews and testimonials. “We thank God for his wonderful gifts of health and nature, a stable and harmonious relationship among man and his surroundings which give health and happiness”, the editorial underlines.
“Health is physical, mental and social wellbeing not only absence of infirmity. The environment affects the development and life of the individual in society influence. It include three correlated levels: physical, biological, and psycho-social. Interaction of people and environment is extremely important”.
“Voice Katolika” notes that man, exploiting and destroying nature is on the way to self destruction: the magazine examines the main causes for upsetting nature and calls for more respect and love for creation also in Solomon Islands and Oceania.
“Voice Katolika”, aims to “inform, educate, amuse”, says editor Salesian Fr. Ambrose Pereira. The magazine is read and appreciated by parishes, movements, schools, priests and religious men and women.
