Tucumán (Agenzia Fides) - The 1st Mission Meeting for the North West region of Argentina will be held 9 and 10 September in Tucuman. The region includes the following ecclesiastical circumscriptions: Jujuy, Humahuaca, Orán, Salta, Cafayate, Tucumán, Concepción, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero ed Añatuya. The slogan of the meeting is "Disciples and Missionaries of Jesus Christ that our countries may have life in Him " the same theme as the 5th General Conference of the Council of Latin American Bishops’ Conferences CELAM. This September Mission Meeting in Argentina is organised by the NW regional team for missionary pastoral and the aim is to increase missionary awareness and activity.
Some 50 representatives of each ecclesiastical circumscription will focus on two main themes Discipleship and Mission. The participants were chosen from members of mission groups, Holy Childhood animators, pastoral operators and members church movements. Before the meeting the participants took part in intense courses of preparation on documents prepared in view of CELAM V. (RG) (Agenzia Fides 31/8/2006; righe 14, parole 173)
