VATICAN - The Holy Father Benedict XVI will spend a period of rest in the mountains of Valle d’Aosta northern Italy

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy See Press Office announced that from Tuesday 11 July to Friday 28 July Pope Benedict XVI will spend a period of rest at the mountain town of Les Combes, Valle d’Aosta, northern Italy. During that time general Wednesday audiences will be suspended. On Sunday 16 and 23 July the Pope will recite the Midday Angelus Marian prayer and impart his blessing from the Summer Residence in Les Combes. On Friday 28 July the Pope will return to Rome and take up resident at his Summer residence in Castel Gandolfo.
