EUROPE/SPAIN - "Family key to development ": Valencia to host 12th Science and Life Congress as part of the World Day for Families

Valencia (Agenzia Fides) - As part of the 5th World Meeting for Families, 1-9 July, Valencia will also host the 12th Science and Life Congress at its St Vicente Martyr University on the theme "The Family key to development", to promote reflection on the importance of the family dimension for every human person in search of happiness, progress and development. The organisers say "focussing on the family is necessary to consolidate existing progress and promote it where there are major structural needs".
The Congress will open on July 1 with a presentation by University rector José Alfredo Peris Cancio. Daily conferences and reflection will dwell on a different theme: "From the passive family to the active family: the future of family policies"; "From the viewpoint of gender to the viewpoint of family"; "Families, better and worse: family health; "Economy and family". Conferences include: Bond between family, life and juridical protection; The family in the Church; Family values through good cinema; Support for the family in an order of freedom; The social value of the Family; man-woman duality as source of the family; the principle of family life; ten principles to improve family life in the 21st century; running the family; the family forger of values in society.
Science and Life Congresses are organised by the Free International University of America (ULIA) in collaboration with the local university. Held every year in a different city these congresses are an opportunity for professors and researchers to discuss multidisciplinary topics connected with the family and promotion of human life.
