AFRICA/BURKINA FASO - Nine new members of the Sisters of Notre Dame du Lac Bam make perpetual profession

Ouagadougou (Agenzia Fides) - On Saturday 10 June the Community of the Sisters of Notre Dame du Lac Bam welcomed 9 new members who made their perpetual vows. The Mass was celebrated at the parish of Bam in the diocese Ouahigouya, by local Bishop Philippe Ouédraogo and Bishop Joachim Ouédraogo of the diocese of Dori.
The Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame du Lac Bam is a diocesan institute founded on 10 May 1967 by missionary Fr Alain Gayé a member of the Missionaries of Africa with the then Bishop of Ouahigouya, Bishop Dénis Tapsoba. The mission of the Institute is to live and announce the Good News to the poorest of the poor.
