EUROPE/GEORGIA - Camillian Caucuses Community celebrates ordination of first Georgian Camillian priest

Tbilisi (Agenzia Fides) - The Camillian Caucuses Community, which comprises Georgia and Armenia, is celebrating in view of the ordination on 10 June of the first Georgian Camillian priest. Other young Georgians are preparing for the religious life and some for the priestly life.
The priestly ordination of deacon Akaki Chelidze will take place in the Catholic Cathedral in Tbilisi dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption.
The Mass will be presided by Stigmatine Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto Latin Ordinary for the Caucuses in the presence of the apostolic nuncio Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti.
Present for the Ordination, various confreres Camillian and non, patients, doctors and staff of two large hospitals donated by the late beloved Pope John Paul II, and the inmates of Homes for Disabled Children and Kindergartens run by the Camillian Father present in Georgia.
