AFRICA/BURKINA FASO Rector appointed for Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary in the archdiocese of Ouagadougou

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 28 April Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples appointed Rector of Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary in the archdiocese of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) rev. Jean Ouedraogo of the diocesan clergy of Koudougou.
Rev. Jean Ouedraogo was born on 14 May 1957 at Imasgo. He attended local schools and then minor seminary at Koudougou and at Kossogin, followed by Major Seminary in Koumi. He was ordained a priest on 6 July 1985 at Imasgo. He has a degree in theology and a licentiate and doctorate in Canon Law. He has been assistant priest (1985/87) teacher at Koudougou minor seminary (1987/89). Studies in Rome (1989/91). Teacher at Koumi major seminary (1991/2000), assistant priest at the cathedral (2000/2001), studies in Canon Law in Rome (2001/2005).
