Huacho (Fides Service) - For three days 19 - 21 May the diocese of Huacho in Peru will host the 1st Meeting for Family Pastoral organised by the diocesan Commission for Family Pastoral. Participants will include parish delegates and pastoral workers of the diocese.
The objective of the event which has the slogan “Family Pastoral hope for the family of the third millennium” is to give new impulse to Family Pastoral in dioceses all over the country by means of parish teams to guide and assist families particularly today when the family faces so many difficulties and threats and loss of recognition of its fundamental role in society as a place where new life is welcomed and children are educated. Proposed themes for reflection include: marriage point of departure for Family Pastoral; theological basis of Family Pastoral; organisation of pastoral and ethics pro life. Reflection on the themes will be guided by members of the diocesan Commission for the Family as part of the work to organise and intensify Family Pastoral in that ecclesiastic jurisdiction.
