ASIA/INDONESIA - Appointment of the Bishop of Tanjungkarang, rev. Vinsensius Setiawan Triatmojo

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - The Holy Father has appointed Rev. Vinsensius Setiawan Triatmojo, of the clergy of Palembang, currently President of the Diocesan Commission for Liturgy, Catechesis and Biblical Pastoral, as Bishop of the Diocese of Tanjungkarang (Indonesia).
His Exc. Msgr. Vinsensius Setiawan Triatmojo was born on April 5, 1971 in the village of Sindang Jati, in the Archdiocese of Palembang.
After attending the Saint Paul Diocesan Minor Seminary in Palembang, he continued his studies in Theology and Philosophy at the Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Pematangsiantar, Sumatra.
He was ordained a priest on January 25, 2000 for the Archdiocese of Palembang.
He has held the following offices and carried out further studies: Assistant parish priest at the Parish of the Most Holy Trinity in Bangusari (2000-2001); parish priest of the parish of San Paolo in Plaju (2001-2006); President of the Diocesan Commission for Youth (2003-2009); Secretary-Chancellor of the Archdiocese, Defender of the bond and notary of the ecclesiastical tribunal of Palembang (2005-2009); Parish priest of the Cathedral in Palembang (2006-2009); Licentiate studies in theology at the Catholic Institute of Paris, France (2009-2014); since 2015, President of the Diocesan Commission for the Liturgy, Catechesis and Biblical Pastoral Care; Archbishop's master of ceremonies.
