Vatican City (Fides Service) - The Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI, on 2 May 2006, accepted the renunciation of the pastoral government of the archdiocese of Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) presented by Cardinal Bernard Agré in conformity with the Code of Canon Law al can. 401 § 1. The Holy Father appointed Metropolitan Archbishop of Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire) Archbishop Jean-Pierre Kutwa until now Archbishop of Gagnoa. (S.L.) (Agenzia Fides 2/5/2006; Righe 5; Parole 72)
