AMERICA - Enrollment open for the online intercontinental course on theology and practice of synodality

Bogota (Agenzia Fides) - The organizing team of the Synod on Synodality has opened registration for the free online course "Common Discernment and Decision-Making in the Church", which "aims to accompany the formation of more than 100,000 people in the theology and practice of synodality", according to a note from CELAM sent to Fides.
The Venezuelan theologian Rafael Luciani, member of the organizing group of this training experience, pointed out that the Synod on synodality "represents a new stage in ecclesial life that invites us to generate processes of conversion and reform to build a synodal Church in this third millennium". For this reason "all the courses are completely free and will be offered in several languages: Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian.
Likewise, they have the participation of speakers from all continents that will allow us to have a global and intercultural vision of the Church". The first course will be in July 2022.
During a period of three weeks, different topics on common discernment and decision-making in the Church will be offered. Sponsors include: Latin American and Caribbean Episcopal Council (CELAM), Consilium Conferentiarum Episcoporum Europae (CCEE), Federation of Asian Bishops Conferences (FABC), International Union Superiors General (UISG), Union of Superiors General (USG), Latin American Confederation of Religious (CLAR), Union des Conférences Européennes de Supérieurs/es Majeurs/es (UCESM), Conference of Jesuit Provincials in Latin America and the Caribbean (CPAL).
