VATICAN - Pontifical Council for Migrants and Itinerant Peoples sends condolences through Papal Nuncio in Egypt after terrorist attacks at Dahab

Vatican (Fides Service) - The Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Migrants and Itinerant Peoples Archbishop Agostino Marchetto, addressed the following telegramme of sympathy to the papal nuncio in Cairo Archbishop Michael Louis Fitzgerald after the terrorist attacks in Egypt: “With profound sadness and grief this Pontifical Council for Migrants and Itinerant Peoples heard the news of the tragic terrorist attack on Dahab which caused the loss of many lives and wounded of numerous innocent people including many tourists. With faith we pray the Almighty and All merciful Lord will grant eternal repose to the souls of the dead and comfort and strengthen the suffering and the grieving. We sympathise also with those who will have to face the consequences of yet another attack on Egypt’s tourist industry, the engine of the country’s economy”. (S.L.)
