OCEANIA/PAPUA NEW GUINEA - New rector appointed for Sacred Heart Seminary in archdiocese of Rabaul

Vatican City (Fides Service) - Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples on 24 March 2006 appointed Rector of the inter-diocesan Sacred Heart Seminary in the Archdiocese of Rabaul (Papua New Guinea) Rev. Dominic Maka.
The new Rector belongs to the clergy of Kavieng and is 39 years of age. He studied for a Certificate in Spiritual Formation at Chicago Theological Union USA. He as been parish priest, director of St. John Vianney Spiritual Formation Centre, Vocations Director and since the beginning of 2005 rector of St. Peter Chanel Minor Seminary.
