About 90 Rectors gathered for the usual annual appointment in November in which a large space was dedicated to the Pontifical Mission Societies. Father Ambrose Pitchaimuthu, National Director of the PMS of India, gave a detailed presentation of the four Pontifical Mission Societies. "I had the opportunity to explain the structure of the PMS at an international, continental (Asia), national, regional and diocesan level - says Father Father Pitchaimuthu -. Particular attention was paid to the Pontifical Society of St. Peter the Apostle (POSPA), as it is directly involved in the formation of seminarians, priests, professors and religious. The history and mission of POSPA were the subject of a further study". The meeting was also an opportunity to invite the Rectors to include a weekly prayer intention for all four PMS, to introduce the founders to the seminarians to draw inspiration from their biographies, to include a lesson on the PMS in the Course of Pastoral Care for Deacons and to include the experience of a missionary during missiology lessons. To promote and support the mission of POSPA, the Rectors were asked to involve professors, priests, former students, seminarians and religious more so that they can be the first witnesses of the benefit received and also to encourage professors and seminarians to participate in the special offering on the Day desired by the Pope.
