Koting (Agenzia Fides) - On October 24, 2021, on the same day the Church celebrated World Mission Day, the Sisters of the Holy Face, C.S.V, present in Koting - Flores - Indonesia, celebrated their 30 years of presence in the land of mission.
"Ours was a hymn of thanksgiving to the Lord for His great deeds", said the superior of the religious community, Sister Aloisia dal Bo, "and for accompanying every step in proclaiming the Gospel and bringing the Holy Face to every corner of the earth, especially in the poorest and most abandoned places, according to the charism of our Mother Foundress Blessed Maria Pia Mastena - writes Sr. Aloisia. "We have responded to the challenge of the Gospel by going to our brothers and sisters, calling them and inviting them to be informed by God's word in order to have endless joy".
"The celebration of thanksgiving - continues the missionary - was preceded by moments of reflection, deepening, a review of experiences, events, progress, based on Charism and Spirituality, with the face of Jesus imprinted on the poor, abandoned, marginalized brothers at the center. A suffering Face that continually calls us and invites us to make amends", said the nuns. "We look into the face of a suffering God, whom we have looked for in our neighbor, where we have met him. A face that is made to smile by our simple presence, our ability to listen, our solidarity, our sharing, our educational, religious and human initiative". "The central event of the day was the Eucharist presided over by the bishop of Maumere, Msgr.
