Taipei (Fides Service) - “Let’s be the hope of the Church and the family!” was the slogan of the 36th high school student leader camp retreat in Tai Pei on the theme “sharing God’s love with concrete actions”. Taipei weekly news letter Christian Life Weekly, said the initiative organised by the Young Catholic Students Tai Pei Association for was open to Catholic, other Christian and non Christian young people. The five days spent in a simple camp was a time to know the Lord better. There were no important personalities present simply a longing to know the Lord. The young people were attracted by the light of Christ on the cross. This light is a call to draw near to the Lord. The Lord touched the young people in prayer, discussion, experience sharing and dedication of the volunteers. The closing of the camp was the start of a response to the Lord’s call. The young people promised to respond to God’s love with concrete actions and to become the hope of the Church and the family. One non Catholic girl said: “the voluntary helper told me we are all precious in the eyes of God. I am not a Catholic yet but I believe in God, He is already in my heart”.
