AMERICA/COLOMBIA - The work and teaching of John Paul II will be the theme of conferences organised by Bogota archdiocese to commemorate the late Pope on the 1st anniversary of his death

Bogota (Fides Service) - The archdiocese of Bogota has planned a number of initiatives to commemorate Pope John Paul II on the first anniversary of his death including three conferences on the figure, work and teaching of the deceased Pope. On Friday 31 March at Santa Clara parish Dr. Bogdan Piotrowski will give a conference on "The value of art in the thought of John Paul II". Saturday 1 April a conference on “John Paul II: why “Great” ?” followed by a special Mass in Bogota Cathedral; Friday 7 April again at the parish of Santa Clara a conference on the theme “Human dignity in the teaching of John Paul II” will be given by Ms Ilva Myriam Hoyos, president of Futura Colombia Network.
