Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On May 6, 2021 Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed rev. Ajay Kumar Xalxo, of the clergy of the diocese of Jashpur as Rector of the "Sant'Alberto" Regional Seminary, in the Archdiocese of Ranchi (India ).
The newly appointed Rector was born on February 19, 1974 and was ordained a priest on January 2, 2009. He was Vice Rector of an Orientation Center (2008-2011) and Assistant parish priest (2011-2012). He obtained a licentiate in moral theology at the Pontifical Urbaniana University, in Rome (2012-2015). Since 2015 he has been Professor in the Seminary of which he has now been appointed Rector.
