EUROPE/ITALY - Monumenta Liturgica Concilii Tridentini collection of six volumes at the service of liturgy

Rome (Fides Service) - Six volumes “Monumenta Liturgica Concilii Tridentini” contain the work of research undertaken by the late Rev Achille Triaca and rev. Manlio Sodi who teaches at the Salesian University in Rome.
Monumenta Liturgica Concilii Tridentini, an anastatic edition in elegant print published by the Libreria Editrice Vaticana, contains documents which the Council of Trent (1545-1563) conceived and consigned to the Catholic Church making her ever more uniform in her growing universality, manifestations of faith and cultural expressions. Each volume is a highly scientific work enriched with introduction and appendixes to help and fascinate experts and any one interested in learning more about the history of the liturgical traditions of the Church of Latin rite.
The six volumes will be presented 23 March, 4pm at the Istituto Salesiano “Sacro Cuore” in via Marsala 42, close to Stazione Termini in Rome.
The symposium “A Service to Liturgy”, is promoted by Libreria Editrice Vaticana and Editrice Bibliografica Acolit which published three volumes “Autori cattolici e opere liturgiche”, prepared by ABEI Associazione Bibliotecari Ecclesiastici Italiani. The meeting is sponsored by Rivista Liturgica, Armonia di Voci and 30 Giorni and the Libera Università degli Studi S. Pio V in Rome and will see the participation of various liturgical institutes, Facoltà di Teologia UPS di Roma, ABEI Unione Romana delle Biblioteche Ecclesiastiche (Urbe), Associazione dei Professori di Liturgia, Pontifical Institute S. Anselmo, Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music .
Speakers will include Prof. Matias Augé, Dr. Fausto Ruggeri, Senator Giulio Andreotti, Archbishop Piero Marini, Master of Papal Liturgical Celebrations, Prof. Massimo Palombella, Prof. Juan J. Flores, Prof. Mauro Guerrini and Prof. Tullio De Mauro and the hosts will be Prof. Giorgio Zevini, dean of Facoltà di Teologia dell’Ups and Prof. Manlio Sodi, of the same faculty who will draw the conclusion.
