The PMS President will close the proceedings.
The Covid-19 pandemic has also severely affected the activity of the PMS.
Regular meetings, meetings and initiatives could only take place to a limited extent as many countries faced the devastating effects on health and the economy. Through the Solidarity Fund established by the Holy Father, the PMS have been able to alleviate the suffering of many people in the world and meet the most urgent needs of missionaries to continue the proclamation of the Gospel even in this difficult context. Hoping that the road to overcoming the pandemic will move quickly, the Pontifical Mission Societies look confidently to several important events in 2022: the 400th anniversary of the founding of Propaganda Fide; the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the first Society, the Society for the Propagation of the Faith; the 100th anniversary of the elevation of the Societies to the rank of Papal Societies. And finally, the 150th birthday of Father Paolo Manna and most likely the beatification of Pauline Jaricot, foundress of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith and the Living Rosary.
