Kinshasa (Agenzia Fides) - The Congolese human rights organization CEPADHO expresses its own regret over the recent attack, in which the Italian ambassador in the Congo, an Italian policeman and the Congolese driver were killed and described the attack as "further evidence of the terrorist attacks that the population has been facing for years in North Kivu".
In the statement sent to Agenzia Fides, CEPADHO calls on the "Congolese authorities and the cooperation of the Congolese armed forces, the police and the civil and military security services in an active search for the perpetrators and their arrest, so that they can be held accountable for their criminal acts". In this context, CEPADHO also asks the international community "for more solidarity with the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the persecution of armed groups and terrorist movements and their final expulsion from the east of the country".
