ASIA/INDIA - Appointment of the Rector of the Saint John Interdiocesan Theological Seminary in Hyderabad

Vatican City (Agenzia Fides) - On 17 July 2020, Cardinal Luis Antonio G. Tagle, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, appointed Fr. Kommareddy Marreddy, of the archdiocesan clergy of Hyderabad Rector of the Saint John major Interdiocesan Theological Seminary, in the archdiocese of Hyderabad, India.
The new Rector was born on 27 August 1971 and was ordained a priest on 2 April 2001. He was then Vice-principal of the Valerian grammar school (2001-2003) and Vice-rector of the minor Seminary (2003-2008). Then he obtained his doctorate in moral Theology in Manila (2008-2014). When he back to India, he was professor of moral Theology, Prefect of sport, Animator of the social academy at Saint John major Seminary, of which he was appointed Rector.
