Also present Bishop Alberto Campos President of the Peruvian Bishops’ commission for missions; Bishop Gabino Mirando, President of the Bishops’ commission for youth and the national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Peru Rev. One of the aims of the meeting was to inform participants of the activity of the PMS and the Missionary Youth office which organises and co-ordinates the work of Missionary Youth Pastoral , PJM, in direct contact with the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. The participants examined the present situation of Missionary Youth in Peru and concluded that PJM must be better formed and animated in the dimension of missionary activity. The assembly also approved proposals: to promote the diffusion of the PMS and SENAJUMI at the national level, as bodies responsible for instilling a missionary spirit among young people in the local churches; encourage integration and participation of members of PJM and SENAJUMI; start, increase and support missionary animation all over the country; elaborate a joint plan for integral missionary youth formation with a view to mission ad gentes.
