Abidjan (Agenzia Fides) - "At the end of the recruitment process for the position of Director of National Catholic Radio, the President of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of the Ivory Coast, His Exc. Mgr. Ignace Bessi, is pleased to inform that the Reverend Father Yodé Hervé Louis, of the Congregation of Jesus and Mary, obtained the favorable opinion of the jury", announced on 18 September the Conference of Catholic Bishops of the Ivory Coast, through a press release.
Fr. Yodé Hervé Louis, the new Director of "La Voix de l'Evangile", was ordained a priest on July 30, 1994. Subsequently he was parish vicar, parish priest, chaplain of various spirituality groups, missionary formator at the Major Seminary of Anyama and at the Major Seminary of Guessihio.
He has held the positions of Superior and head of the eudist communities, Rector of the preparatory Seminary of St. John Paul II of M’Pouto, consultant in canon law and lawyer at the ecclesiastical court of San-Pedro.
He holds a licentiate in canon law from the Pontifical Lateran University of Rome and a professional master's degree in Communication Sciences from the French school of press officers in Abidjan. Fr. Yodé Hervé Louis takes over from Fr. Emile Vangah, who for 6 years was at the helm of the Catholic National Radio.
Fr. Yodé, expressing his gratitude to the Lord for His presence in his life and his gratitude to the Bishops for this sign of trust, also reassured the workers of the radio station: "I would like to say thank you for the work they do, they are to be reassured, he is a brother who comes to work with them and for them but above all he is a priest who is there, and who knows the realities, the challenges of the Church and the realities of the operators. I think that together we will be able to face the challenges for the promotion of the Gospel of Christ". (S.S.) (Agenzia Fides, 21/9/2020)
